Refunds¶
The full policy is published at members.aikyamfellows.org/refundpolicy. Here's the short version.
Can I get a payment back?¶
Sometimes. Once collected, a payment is treated as a completed donation, not a purchase, so refunds aren't automatic — but we'll refund one that was charged in error, an unauthorised charge, or one you ask about within 7 days and before a receipt has been issued for it.
What if I just changed my mind?¶
We won't usually refund a gift you knowingly made, once more than 7 days have passed or a receipt has already been issued for it. Cancel your monthly contribution instead, so it doesn't happen again — see Managing your giving.
Anything not covered here: write to us and explain — every request is read, not matched against a checklist alone.
What happens to my 80G receipt?¶
If a refunded payment already had an 80G receipt against it, that receipt is cancelled and a corrected one is issued reflecting what you actually gave. You can't claim a deduction for money that was returned to you — that's a rule of the Income Tax Act, not something we can waive.
How long does a refund take?¶
A refund goes back to the original payment method — the same UPI ID or card the payment came from — and typically takes 5–7 working days, which is Razorpay's own processing time, not something we control from our side.
